Cover Washing

The Smart Topper cover is removable and washable. It is made of 100% white polyester and is sensitive to heat — always use cold water and cool air drying to prevent shrinkage and wrinkling.

Removing the Cover

We recommend two people for cover removal.

1. Unplug the electrical connection, then remove the rubber bedside control faces. Three mushroom-shaped pegs at the bottom hold the rubber face to the hard plastic box inside the topper. Pull the bottom of the rubber face first down, then away from the topper to release them.

2. Once the bottom is free, slide the rubber face upward to release the two additional pegs at the top.

3. Three hooks in the hard plastic box secure the cover material. Push the material off these hooks — a stiff pointed object like a screwdriver can help.

4. Pull the cover material off the flange on the plastic box, then undo the snaps at the foot of the topper. There are 2–4 snaps depending on your topper size.

5. Reach through the opening at the foot, fold the corner fans toward the centre of the bed, and pull the cover over the foot area.

6. Peel the cover toward the head of the bed, turning it inside-out as you go. You can slide the topper off the foot of the bed or fold the foot toward the head if space is limited.

⚠ Do not grab or pull on the foam surface — it can tear and will affect the topper's performance.

7. Once the cover reaches the head of the topper, the power cord(s) will still be threaded through it. Gently pull the cord and its grey rubber pass-through free from the cover.

Machine Washing

Wash in a machine using cold water and dry on a cool setting with regular household laundry detergent. Queen, King, and California King covers require a large washer and dryer — if yours isn't large enough, hand washing or a laundromat works well.

Important: Do not use hot water or high dryer heat — it will cause slight shrinkage and the cover may not fit properly afterward.

Important: Remove the cover from the dryer immediately to avoid wrinkling. Wrinkles are difficult to remove but will not affect performance.

Important: Do not tightly fold or crease the cover for more than a few days — this can leave a permanent crease in the top surface. It won't affect performance, but it won't look great.

Hand Washing

The cover can be hand washed in a bathtub using cold water and regular laundry detergent. Hang to dry — do not leave bunched up or it will wrinkle.

Important: Do not use hot water or heat to dry.

Dry Cleaning

The cover can be dry cleaned. Let the dry cleaner know it is 100% polyester and sensitive to heat shrinkage.
