Your Settings are Stored in the Bed

When you program your Smart Topper using the app, the settings and schedule are all stored in the Smart Topper itself. As long as you leave the topper switched on at the manual controller with the Scheduler enabled, it will run whether the app is connected or not. Some sleepers even disable the WiFi on their topper after a while, once they have their settings perfected.

Add your Bed to Multiple Devices

Yes, you can add your topper to as many devices as you like!

Reconnecting is Normal

The app does need to take a moment to reconnect to the Smart Topper each time you open it. This is normal, as the app connects to the Smart Topper through your home network. Our setup is very secure.

Bed Offline? Check the Power Cables.

One of the most common reasons for difficulties with connectivity is actually a loose power cable. We recommend triple checking that everything is pushed in very firmly at the brick, and the barrel connectors haven't tugged loose at all.

Manual Controls

The Manual Controls are designed to be used by touch through your fitted sheet.

Starting the Topper without an App Schedule: Make sure the power switch is "ON." Tap the Up or Down button to select your set point. A voice will announce the Level you've chosen. You can also use this method to start your topper if you have a set Schedule and wish to go to bed early.

Stopping the Topper: The bed will turn itself off in ten hours, or at your programmed wake-up time if you are an app user with a set Schedule.

How the Topper will Behave in the First Hour: By default your topper has a Start Phase of one hour. If your set point Level is a cooling setting, the fans will run at a constant rate for that first hour.

How the Topper will Behave AFTER the First Hour:  The thermal sensors will activate and the bed will run more like a thermostat. This is called Sleep Phase. During Sleep Phase, a setting of Cold 2 means your skin temperature is two degrees colder than normal; Cold 5 means 5 degrees, and so forth.

If your skin gets too cold during Sleep Phase (colder than your chosen set point), the cooling will decrease. The fans may turn off. If you don't like this behaviour, you can either use the buttons to choose a colder setting, or you can customize your settings in the app in the following days.
