The Smart Topper is very energy efficient as the heating and cooling are directly affecting a person’s body. As a result it takes very little power to heat or cool a person while maintaining their ideal sleep environment temperature.
The heater’s maximum power usage per sleep zone is 85 W or 170 W for a dual zone topper. However, the typical power usage during a cold night is less than 10 W over the night so the electrical heating cost is in the range of 1 to 2 cents per night.
On a typical hot night the fans in each sleep zone could consume 10 W over the night resulting in an approximate energy cost of 1 to 2 cents per night.
The Smart Topper can plug into 100-240 VAC using the provided power supply, however, all voltage inside the Smart Topper is 24 VDC or less.
